Responsibilities Responsible for managing, supervising and directing the Health Details Management/Medical Records Department (including Transcription). Manages the planning, quality improvement activities, establishing policies and procedures, standards and objectives. Services include coding, abstracting, filing, chart retrieval, release of info, chart completion, transcription and cancer registry. Qualifications AA Degree in Health Info Management, finance, business, healthcare, or related discipline required. 5 (5) years background in Health Info Management Department required. RHIT required. 3 (3) years supervisory background of Health Info Management preferred.
