Summer Law Clerk-OIG - (Washington, DC)

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is the independent and objective oversight authority for the Board and the CFPB. The OIG conducts audits, investigations, and other reviews of the programs and operations of the Board and the CFPB, to assess and promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in these programs and operations while helping to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse. The Office of Legal Services Summer Law Clerk will assist in providing comprehensive legal advice, research, counseling, critical analysis, and representation in support of OIG projects and activities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Conducts legal research (e.g., statutes, regulations, case law, policies). Conducts legislative research (e.g., proposed legislation, public laws, legislative history). Writes memoranda, correspondence, case briefs, and legislative summaries.
