PORTSMOUTH REGIONAL HOSPITAL Job details Job title: Endoscopy Technician II Endoscopy 733 POSITION SUMMARY: The Endoscopy Technician II assists the physician and/or the Registered Nurse in endoscopic procedures as well as LNA or CST functions when required. SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & CRITICAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Competent in aseptic technique and infection control. 2. Demonstrates efficient organizational and time organizational skills. 3. Provides customer service functions 4. Demonstrate knowledge of all endoscopic procedures including handling, cleaning, and troubleshooting all necessary equipment. 5. Assists the physician and RN in all endoscopic procedures. 6. Provides direct patient care within their scope of practice as an LNA. 7. Utilizes all computer systems required for job function. 8. Maintains inventory 9. Performs all unit specific safety checks Requirements: BACKGROUND: (Min relevant work background for successful job performance) 1 to 3yrs EDUCATION: High-school or GED
