Sr Product Engineer - Mechanical - (Washington, MI)

Job details: ZF TRW's global Occupant Safety Systems business develops technical solutions for passive safety systems: Seat Belt Systems (SBS), Steering Wheel Systems (SWS) and Inflatable Restraint Systems (IRS). With more than 25,000 employees around the world, OSS plays a strong role in ZF TRW's success. This position is responsible for design, development and validation testing of IRS Airbag Modules. Main responsibilities: To lead the product design, development and validation testing of IRS Airbag Modules. Release all documentation used in design and production including CV, DV and production. Establish detail timing to support program and approve the program timing for supporting functions. Lead the analysis of module fault tree's and DFMEA's. Fabrication and follow on-time delivery of prototype samples. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM). Validate and implement design changes. Assist in establishing engineering specifications. Create Engineering Release Documentation (ERD).
