Key Account Manager - (Eaton Rapids, MI)
GENERAL PURPOSE: Maintain and grow relationships with customers, distributors, breeders and buyers, as well as develop new customers and new product opportunities. Manage agreed upon sales strategies and identify new programs and products that are in alignment with customer needs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develops and grows sales within specified territory and/or with a specified list of customers. Builds strong relationships within the Horticultural industry. Gains a strong understanding of the needs of current accounts and provides them with solutions to enhance the sales opportunities with each account. Builds longterm relationships with current accounts. Works directly with sales support to develop creative solutions for individual accounts. Demonstrates valuable market and product knowledge to manage and grow assigned territory responsibilities. Maintains a computerized system to track prospect activity and successes.
