Software Tools Architect - (Austin, TX)

The complexity of Cirrus Logic's products is expanding rapidly, demanding rapid expansion and innovation in software tools supporting development and debug of software applications for our embedded DSP and MCU cores. In this position, you will play a critical role in our development efforts by leading the development of new classes of tools deployed to internal development teams and consumer electronics manufacturers.Responsibilities Define and own tooling requirements for critical Cirrus products Define and own tooling software architecture that may include new designs, modifications, or extensions to existing tools solutions Lead project planning with crisp work breakdown and effort estimation Chart the course for project execution in the form of work bundle allocation to multiple small teams around the world, backlog grooming and scope creep monitoring, defect triage Identify work packages suited for external contracts, identify and vet contractors, put in place statements of work
