Georgia Pacific's Consumer Products division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for our Project Engineer opportunity to join the engineering team that supports our Port Hudson pulp and paper consumer products manufacturing operation located in Zachary, LA. The project engineer is responsible for organizing and executing all the activities that will deliver the project as defined in the scope and budget request. This includes design, construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentation activities. The Project Engineer provides the detailed technical documents for material and equipment procurement, fabrication and construction/installation. This role will also plan and schedule the project work, order the materials from company-approved suppliers, track timing and cost, manage the construction/installation group, and communicate project updates, needs, etc. to the appropriate parties.
