Maintenance Mechanic- Direct Hire - (Schaumburg, IL)

Must be available for second shift and have prior background in the food manufacturing industry. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all equipment performance in the plant and assists Production to enhance equipment performance to meet quality expectations, production rates, and customer needs. Essential Duties and Assignments include the following: Operates and troubleshoots related equipment as needed or assigned. Troubleshoots motor control circuits, drives, and PLC systems. Performs electronic component replacement, substitution, set-up and calibration. Performs routine PMs, repairs, rebuilds and modifications on all equipment assigned. Answers maintenance calls in a timely fashion and assists others in troubleshooting. Observes equipment to make sure it is operating to OEM standard or production satisfaction. Performs repairs/adjustments on electrically controlled equipment as required. Monitors equipment performance during production start-up, changeovers, and new installs.
