Purchasing Manager This purchasing manager directs the activities of buyers and purchasing agents for a mechanical manufacturing facility. The purchasing manager will have six salaried and twenty hourly direct reports at 2 facilities.The focus of this purchasing manager will be people management, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, material cost reduction, cycle count program, inventory, material replenishment planning, etc.Direct the procurement activities of buyers and is responsible for the outcome of procurement negotiations and supplier management.Establish procedures to accomplish the procurement of a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner.Coordinate procurement activities with user representatives to develop procurement programs and plans.Monitor the performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery
