Sr Engineer-Manufacturing - (Galesville, WI)

This person, under routine supervision, is responsible for: (1) development of operation/process instructions, (2) optimization of injection molding processes, (3) recommending capital equipment purchases, and (4) troubleshooting existing injection molding processes. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. Optimize injection molding processes of new molds and keeps accurate records for future production set-ups. Also determines when a mold is ready for production with input from MDE (Mold Development Engineer)and QE (Quality Engineer). 2. Assist production in troubleshooting molding problems to determine whether a problem is related to equipment, material, process, or mold and follow up on corrections. 3. Keep abreast of latest injection molding technology and make recommendations for the purchase of all molding related equipment. This may include the writing of the justification for purchase. 4. Determine standards for cycle times and efficiencies.
