Quality Engineer - (Youngstown, OH)

OH location. Provide technical and metallurgical support to both operating and non-operating groups to establish and maintain customer qualifications in the production of steel. The position will concentrate on continuous improvement efforts as its main focus while enhancing product knowledge relating to performance properties. Assist both the quality and operations technology departments in analyzing production data as it relates to both yield loss and performance properties. In addition, the position will be utilized in R&D efforts to improve and develop products as well as customer claim investigation and cost of non-quality analysis in establishing root cause(s) and assure customer qualifications are maintained in the facility with a focus on continuous improvement. Oversee product metallurgy including rolling, heat treating, NDT inspection, threading and finishing, and final release functions.
