Vocational Trainer - Grand Coteau - (Grand Coteau, LA)

Vocational Trainer Report To: Program Manager/ Program Director Supervise: Clients (up to eight at a time) Qualification: High-school degree and background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid driver's license and must have expertise to drive clients. Strong communication abilities, Can work unaided and with others. Expertise to read and write. Shift: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. May require some Saturdays at the resale store and occasionally have to drive routes. Responsibilities: Supervise, direct and provide instructions to clients in a Day-Hab environment. Demonstrate acceptable social behaviors in work setting and assist clients with gaining the knowledge of understanding such practices. Implement client work strategies to work toward each individual's employment goals. Report any progress and problems with client behaviors/objectives and management of small business to Director and/or QMRP or Assistant Director.
