CMM Programmer and Layout Technician - (Rutherfordton, NC)

DESCRIPTION Performs detailed inspection of aluminum die cast samples from die casting or machining that are 1st samples, revised, repaired, or in production and record findings on initial sample inspection reports, inspection records, repair tickets, customer forms, or other documentation. DUTIES Performs detailed inspections of aluminum die castings. Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and blueprint reading. Skilled in CMM programming. Expertise to interact with engineering and production depts. and communicate inspection results accurately. Able to operate measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, indicators, special fixtures, x-ray machine, surface instruments and others. Must be able to use statistical analysis and sampling techniques effectively. Must be able to interpret inspection results and reach conclusions to assure requirements are met.
