Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company has an outstanding career opportunity for an Associate Underwriter who will be responsible for providing support to our Underwriters/Production Underwriters by preparing info for a variety of reports and documents, processing inquiries and forms and communicating with outside sources. A successful applicant will possess strong communication abilities, great motivation and capacity to understand concepts and drive to succeed in a team environment. Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines, the Commercial Lines Associate Underwriter is responsible for accomplishing the following as guided by others. Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess each risk, determine acceptability, assign rating, indicate endorsements and limits, and determine appropriate pricing.
