Writing Center Tutor and English Grader - (Scranton, PA)

Job details: The primary function of a writing center tutor is to provide support to students who need help with their written projects to assist them in achieving their educational goals. The writing center tutor will also grade subjective examinations. A tutor/grader must be able to: Evaluate writing assignments based on qualifications and grading criteria Provide clear and effective feedback to students Support student writing across the curriculum Be able to navigate on-line teaching and learning environments, including communications applications such as email and chat Complete the necessary steps to ensure that grades are properly recorded with the school. Skills & Abilities: Education : A master’s degree in English or a related subject. Background: Teaching and/or tutoring background in writing; writing center background desired.
