Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Orthopedics Trau - (Rochester, MN)

Responsibilities: The Department of Orthopedic Surgery seeks a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Physician Assistant to join their dynamic Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team. The NP, CNS or PA collaborates with a variety of Orthopedic staff consultants, fellow/senior residents and multiple medical specialties in all aspects of patient care. This position involves practice in the ED when the service is on call, as well as inpatient and outpatient care responsibilities. The position is also responsible for diagnosing, interpreting laboratory studies, reviewing radiographic pictures, and performing physical assessments. Hospital rounds may be required by the assigned service. Opportunities also exist for coverage of other Orthopedic services, independent clinical practice, and research. Potential to participate in research and publications depending on the assigned service and the needs of the Department. At this time, no after-hours call is required, but may be instituted at a future date.
