Mechanic Salary: $21.78 per hour There is 1 opening with the Yakima County Public Services Department ER&R Division. The position is responsible for performing journey level maintenance and repair of county automotive and heavy equipment. Education and Background: Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Diesel Technology plus 2 years automotive and heavy equipment maintenance background: OR 4 years' background in welding, metal design and fabrication, automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance: OR an equivalent combination of education and background which provides knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
