Purchasing Analyst - (Shelton, CT)

A large manufacturing company in Fairfield County is seeking a Purchasing Analyst to join their growing team for an extended project. The engagement is anticipated for (12) twelve months. The Purchasing Analyst's primary assignments include negotiating price and contractual terms, managing supplier relationships and performance issues, as well as reviewing and qualifying new and existing supplier needs. Responsibilities: The analyst must take ownership for all vendors. Responsible for the delivery, cost and quality of their respective repair vendors. Negotiate pricing and contractual terms. Manage supplier relationships and performance issues. Expediting and coordinating material qualifications to suppliers for repairs. Review and qualify new supplies as needed. Manage communication with customers relating to pricing, quality and delivery. Strong SAP and Microsoft office suite skills are highly preferred, but not required. 3-five years of background in working with external vendors.
