Certified Medical Assistant - (Philadelphia, PA)

Position Purpose: Mercy Physician Network has a full-time Medical Assistant position immediately available at our Mercy Philadelphia Hospital campus. The Medical Assistants provide general support to physicians for patient care and examinations, including exam preparation and lab work. This position is also responsible for supporting the front desk area. Job overview Information: Applicants must possess the following combination of education and background: * Must possess certification from 1 of these certifying organizations: National Center for Competency Testing (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), or National Healthcareer Assn (CCMA) at time of hire. * Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program. * HS diploma or equivalency. * Knowledge of CPT and ICD9/10 codes. * Knowledge of principles, methods, materials, equipment & techniques used to perform laboratory analysis.
