Youth Basketball Referee - (Cleveland, TN)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Officiate and supervise assigned youth and adult sports games. KEY FUNCTIONS: Officiates games according to YMCA rules. Builds relationships with coaches. Secures volunteers to help keep clock, books Ensures that games start on time and begin with prayer. Discusses and helps clarify rules for coaches and players when necessary. Report to supervisor any problems or incidents; handles issues within approved YMCA guidelines. Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Min age of 15. Knows and understands YMCA rules for particular sport. Must attend YMCA referee training PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform key functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
