Job summary IBM is currently hiring a pre-professional COOP in the area of Mainframe Product Engineering Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Come and join a diverse team of engineers, technicians and programmers who support the IBM Mainframe hardware. The intern will be assigned to a sub team within our Product Engineering team who supports the service structure and serviceability of our mainframe product set. This position will be to help design and execute productivity aids required for the infrastructure of PE. Some programming skills are required and a basic engineering understanding to perform this role. Computer Science skills are highly desired and preferred however an electrical engineering background would also be beneficial. The intern will have the opportunity to background firsthand what a mainframe customer expects from IBM as well as the technical complexity of this machine.
