Buyer/Inventory Specialist - (Strafford, MO)

American Products, LLC is currently seeking a Buyer/Inventory Specialist to join our growing team! Our Buyers are responsible for negotiating prices, reviewing multiple quotes to determine cost savings. They are also responsible for managing vendor relationships, generating quote requests, and creating and monitoring purchase orders. The perfect applicant will be able to communicate with a diverse mix of individuals and enjoy problem-solving with an "can-do" attitude. Interested? Here's what we would like to see: Bachelor's degree a plus; a min of two years' background in purchasing and inventory controlmay be considered in lieu of degree. Background with, or knowledge of functions within MRP systems a plus. Requires proiciency in Excel. Effective communication expertise, both in-person and on the phone. Meticulous attention to detail. Requires the expertise to work in extreme temperatures at times, and the expertise to stand for multiple hours at a time.
