Vocational Instructor - Plumbing Job DescriptionThe Vocational Instructor performs instructional services of vocational and/or occupational subjects, such as business, computers/technology, carpentry, plumbing and trades which are designed to help inmates/students learn specified subject matter and acquire vocational skills.QualificationsHigh School certificate, GED certification or equivalent is required. Three Years of full time, wage-earning background in the subject vocational trade or in career readiness skills to include technical trade background; or 3 years of background as a certified instructor teaching in the specific trade or subject area is required. Must possess current trade certification in the subject vocational area of instruction and be licensed in accordance with Tennessee Department of Education standards to teach in state of employment. Must have the expertise to give clear instructions in the trade and/or vocational area. Background in Ms office applications is required.
