Overview: The Zika Field Support Consultant investigates and reports Zika virus infections among pregnant women and their fetuses and infants in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local health departments. The Zika Field Support Consultant provides support to build capacity and capabilities for local health departments across the United States and its territories, to address the challenges of preventing, identifying, responding to, and reporting Zika outbreaks. This position is responsible for p rovider outreach and education, community outreach and education, surveillance and reporting, laboratory requests, testing and reporting, and referrals.
