FOSS Curriculum Trainer - (Cedar Rapids, IA)

Cedar Rapids Community Schools is seeking applicants who are qualified for the following position(s): FOSS Curriculum Trainer Location: ELSC Summary: 1st POSSIBLE HIRE DATE: Immediately These teachers provide professional learning for teachers on FOSS Science Curriculum and Iowa Core Standards # of Positions: fifteen (extra duty only) Total Days of Service: - Teachers will secure a substitute for no more than one afternoon for each kit they are training. - Teachers will lead professional learning for FOSS Curriculum at least 1 evening throughout the school year. - Hours outside the contract day will be paid per diem. Compensation: Per diem rate for up to six hours. Position responsibilities: - Iowa Teaching License with at least 2 yrs of teaching background - Background teaching biology is preferred. - Eagerness to implement 3 dimensional learning and assessments. Essential Job Elements: - Each committee member will be expected to have deep knowledge of FOSS curriculum.
