Animal Control Officer - (Dickinson, ND)

The City of Dickinson is seeking an Animal Control Officer! This position is responsible for performing routine enforcement of animal control ordinances and maintaining the Animal Shelter. The successful applicant will patrol City streets for lost, abandoned, or stray animals. This includes determining whether the animal has tags or identification, transporting animals to an address indicated where applicable, impounding stray animals without identification, and determining whether animals are current on rabies shots and other vaccinations. Education & Background Qualifications: High-school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and prefer at least 1 year of specialized training in animal control and handling, or an equivalent combination of education and background sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Valid Driver’s License Wage details: $15.83 - $17.16 per hour depends on background + Benefits Full-time, 40 hours per week
