Tooling/Design Engineer - (Algona, IA)

OverviewProvide engineering support to the Algona Snap-on Plant management and all departments to the plant. Design/implement stamping and forming tooling, fixtures, and equipment layouts and new methods of manufacturing to reduce costs of operations. Assist in completing product designs and development projects related to Snap-on's business interests and customers. Apply new product development activities to new product concept and product improvement projects with emphasis on DFM, manufacturability, customer satisfaction, project timeframe, and potential profitability of designs.QualificationsEngineering degree required (BSME preferred) -- plus background with tool & die design, stamping, forming and welding. Proficiency in AutoCAD and CATIA and Microsoft office suite computer application. Proficiency with verbal and written technical communications is mandatory, strong interpersonal leadership skills are useful when management of team projects occur.
