Job summary Title: Patient Background Specialist, Front Desk Department: Patient Background Reports To: Market Manager, Central Florida Location: The Villages, FL FLSA: Non-Exempt (hourly) Date: July 6, 2017 General Purpose of Job/Summary : The Patient Background Specialist, Front Desk will support the practice by relaying the most positive and professional image possible to patients visiting our clinics. These teammates will be responsible for the check-in and check-out of patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointment, performing patient info updates, insurance verification, and collecting payments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : · Welcome and greet all patients and visitors, in person or over the phones. · Register new patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting patient detailed info each year. · Verify insurance eligibility through electronic resources.
