Building Systems Transport is Hiring for the Fleet Operations Manager Position! Essential Duties of the Fleet Operations Manager: - Direct and perform activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles. - Negotiate and authorize contracts with equipment and materials suppliers, and monitor contract fulfillment. - Must be prepared to assume shift operations with little or some advance notice. - Must possess effective communication and leadership skills with the expertise to foster open, honest two-way communication both internally and externally. - Previous experience background in the motor carrier industry preferred, including knowledge of operations, clerical procedures, and DOT regulations. - Recruit drivers as needed and improve driver recruitment and retention.
