Psychiatric Nurse - (Howell, MI)

DESCRIPTION Under the supervision of the Mental Health Program Director and Health and Medication Supervisor, complex care nurse provides assessment and medical support services to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Position located at the program site for adult services. DUTIES Full time Registered Nurse (RN) works closely with the psychiatry staff and other medical professionals by utilizing a team-based model. The RN takes a lead for planning, organizing service delivery, coordinating complex care and promoting health education in order to integrate healthcare within the team The RN also serves as a patient advocate and maintain working expertise and standards of the professional nursing practice. Background in physical and mental health assessments, interpretation of laboratory tests, medication administration including injectable medications, treatment planning, and a wide-range of knowledge pertaining to mental health disorders and medications is preferred.
