Responsibilities include: Providing the vital communication that helps transition Principal Investigator's scientific advancements to the engineers who will deliver the product to market Leading program development that builds and/or enhances SDL core capabilities Ensuring that the lab is successful in developing optical and IR instruments critical to the strategic objectives of NASA, NOAA, MDA, and other Government agencies Providing ability in the radiometric analysis and design of electro-optic remote sensing payloads, including imaging, spectrometer instruments Designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating optical systems; including diagnosing malfunctions in existing products and making improvements to produce desired results Developing and applying advanced optical design methods, theories
