Quality Engineer - (Chambersburg, PA)

Position description Job Summary: Perform assigned tasks to support the Quality Management System at Vacon, LLC. and take a leadership role in assuring processes and practices which promote quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Act as Management Representative for ISO 9001. Coordinate existing IT tools to provide needed feedback and reports. Maintain and publish the quality scorecard. Work with all departments on continuous improvement projects. Participate in/lead Lean/Six Sigma projects. Train internal personnel in QMS/Six Sigma. Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge and understanding of quality management systems. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001 standard. Strong knowledge and understanding of lean principles. Thorough knowledge and understanding of 6 sigma principles. Good understanding of business principles. Expertise to work with all levels of personnel in the business environment. Expertise to work autonomously. Good technical skills. Good management expertise.
