Utility Maintenance Mechanic - (Blacksburg, VA)

The NRV Regional Water Authority is seeking candidates to join its organization as a Utility Maintenance Mechanic. The Utility Maintenance Mechanic assists in maintaining and repairing specialized machinery and equipment in water treatment plant, residuals management and water distribution facilities, machinery and equipment; does related work as required. High-school diploma or general education degree (GED) and any combination of education and/or background related to physical plant, equipment maintenance or related position, including formal training in State and Federal OSHA qualifications, and at least 3yrs of background in water plant operations and maintenance is required. This is a full-time position that works on a fixed shift and emergencies which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is subject to twenty-four (24) hour call as assigned. Starting annual salary for this position is $40,289.60.
