W17-3804S Mechanic C - (Buffalo, NY)

About the Position: We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanic C with the ability to travel extensively to job sites with in the National Grid territory. Position duties include: Operate a Dump truck and trailer combo for load/unload/hauling heavy equipment or materials. Must be electrically qualified to operate; with great proficiency, the most complicated types of field construction equipment. Ability to work within close proximity to high voltage electrical lines. This will involve busting out concrete encased duct banks containing energized lines with the used of a jackhammer and PPE Ability to work in confined spaces/manholes. Installation/removal of manhole roof, installation of new manholes and conduit banks, maintenance of any/all underground electrical infrastructure, delivering material and equipment.
