Street Outreach Worker- Will, Kankakee, Grundy and Southern Cook - (Park Forest, IL)

Position overview The purpose of this position is to provide education and prevention services, intervention and placement details to at risk, runaway and homeless youth in Will, Kankakee, Grundy, and Southern Cook County. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following: Provide weekly outreach to identified locations where youth congregate during the evenings and weekends. Maintain accurate records of demographics info on the number of youth contacted and the service type that was offered. Ensure distribution of details on the community and Aunt Martha’s along all designated locations. Evaluate current locations to determine outreach effectiveness while looking to secure new sites. Conduct public speaking engagements at local junior and senior high schools following the outreach curriculum. Participate in weekly group supervisions to ensure qualitative services are provided to at risk and homeless youth population. Provide and arrange for transportation as needed.
