General Description This job is at a Depot Level repair facility maintenance on types of aircraft, which include, but not limited to AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8. F-35 and V-22. Military aviation platform background is a plus. Duties Shall remove paint, scale, rust, corrosion and other surface imperfections from iron, steel, aluminum and other metals and non-metal surfaces Shall examine and evaluate surfaces to identify the composition of metal and determine the proper method of treating and types of material to be used Shall be proficient in adjusting sandblasting machines Shall be able to follow oral and written instructions, read and interpret blue prints and all technical data determining extent of cleaning required and various techniques used to arrive at the finished product
