GI Assistant - SR, MHW - (Pembroke Pines, FL)

Provides technical support for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. 1. Assists physicians and nurses with performing procedures and providing patient care. 2. Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens. 3. Prepares and maintains endoscopy equipment and supplies. Performs high-level endoscope disinfection and processing. 4. Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures. Education: HS diploma or equivalent. Licensure, Certification and Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the expertise to work with minimal supervision.
