Shift Manager in the Finishing Division Chicago IL area . Direct the production, maintenance, and inspection activities to ensure the safe and efficient production of products. Required to monitor the operation and intercede promptly with corrective action, co-coordinating multiple disciplines in the execution of these duties. Responsible for the supervision of hourly personnel within the Division; to include the proper training and utilization of employees and management of personnel issues (offering overtime, position qualifications, inputting time, safety contact, etc). Must maintain a fair and equitable relationship with the hourly personnel Min: two years supervisory background in a heavy industrial environment. Associate Degree in technology or supervisory discipline; or for the exceptional applicant a HS diploma with commensurate background. Must be able to work a rotating shift in a multi-level organization which operates 24/7.
