Structural Welder - (Reynoldsburg, OH)

Position details: Responsible for welding structural steel members in order to build steel structures. Welds, cuts steel, operates grinders, drills various materials and other fabrication functions. Position Reports to : Structural Steel Plant Superintendent and/or lead man Position Critical functions and Responsibilities : Build and fabricate steel girders, columns, and other steel members to form buildings, bridges, and other steel structures. Cut, position, and weld by AISC quality standards. Fabricate, weld, and torch cut, and shear structural building components. Operate cranes to move structural steel and other materials in the fabrication shop. Drill holes into steel members for bolting purposes. Number and mark steel according to fabrication schedule instructions and AISC quality standards. Expertise to read a tape measure is required Perform other duties as assigned Specific Skills : Responsible for area housekeeping.
