Sand Tester - (Attica, IN)

Harrison Steel has an opening on 1st shift in its sand labratory to t est sand to determine its usability for making sand molds or cores. The duties for this position include: Maintaining and calibrating all lab equipment daily Collecting sand samples from various areas of the plant Testing sand samples by using various methods Requirements and Skills Basic math & reading skills Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Works safely and observes all safety procedures Working environment: The employee regularly work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Also exposure to outdoor weather conditions, non-weather related extreme cold, water and humidity, and the risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. The usual noise level is very loud. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
