At 1st Equity Mortgage, a Loan Officers key role is defined as: Originating and selling conforming and sub-prime mortgage loans, purchase and refinance, by building and maintaining strong relationships from internet based loan aggregators as well as outbound calls and in-house referrals. Prospecting new referral sources via face to face and telephone and submitting required documentation on behalf of customers for lender approval. Acting as liaison between the borrower and lender throughout all phases of the lending process. Build customer base and process loan transactions with detail to follow-up, keeping borrowers updated, and conducting business with the utmost integrity in a timely fashion. Build and maintain working relationships with wholesale lenders, title and escrow offices and other vendors and suppliers.
