Licenced Veterinary Technician - (Sanford, ME)

We are a progressive, AAHA-Certified small animal practice seeking licensed or certified veterinary technician. Applicants must demonstrate compassion, strong communication abilities and a capacity to work well in all aspects of veterinary care. Responsibilities and Duties Greeting clients and patients Collecting blood and urine samples Running diagnostic tests (CBC/Chemisties, 4dx, urinalyses, FNA cytologies) Reporting certain laboratory results by phone Patient care and the administration of medications Veterinary record keeping Assisting occasionally with surgery, dentistry and reception Maintaining and troubleshooting Idexx laboratory equipment Requirements and Skills Licensed or certified as a veterinary technician Experienced individuals preferred Gentle yet confident patient handling Good phone and communication abilities Good team member Knowledge of Cornerstone software a plus Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Idexx lab machines a plus Benefits Health insurance Paid vacation Paid CE
