The Manufacturing Engineer plans, designs, and supports manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determine parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. Create, implement, maintain and improve capable production processes, methods and sequences to achieve safety, quality, throughput and cost targets. Develop and maintain production standards using work measurement techniques such as time/motion studies, work content studies, and line-balancing. Analyze production costs to identify and implement improvement efforts. Conduct make vs buy evaluations to identify cost reduction opportunities. Creates and maintains manufacturing documentation as required by operating procedures.
