Plastic Injection Molding Engineer - (Blythewood, SC)

Major and growing international company has an opportunity at a high volume plant commutable to the east of Columbia, SC for a PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING ENGINEER. In this role will plan, direct and coordinate plastic injection molding processes in the manufacturing plant. Assembly and testing may also be included processes. Will plan new processes and the improvement of existing processes using PFMEA methodology. Will support product development and process / tooling design in order to ensure production methods that are efficient. Will develop process and machine specifications, complete supplier sourcing, and complete capital purchase of new equipment through validation and handover to production. Also will analyze and plan space qualifications, work force utilization, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for max efficiency. Will apply data analysis and analytical thinking to develop and execute sound validation change impacts to product quality, cost, delivery and safety.
