Trailer Operator/Switcher - (Holland, MI)

Currently, Meijer is looking for a Trailer Operator/Switcher. Responsible for the provision, checking, inspection and fueling of trailers for loading, unloading, as needed or requested. Responsible also to cover all duties within the warehouse at any given time. Expertise to be licensed and operate a stand up Power Industrial Truck is mandatory. Key Deliverables:Fuels equipment per requirements.Performs yard checks to verify trailer inventoryPerforms routine safety checks to secure trailer and follows all related safety requirementsConducts temp checks on trailers containing productProvides trailers as needed/requested for loading and unloading, ensuring inbound trailers are rotated 1st in/1st out.Verifies that all equipment is functioning properly and completes DVIR for power units.Learns SOP for all functions performedMaintains a safe and clean yard for optimizing equipment utilizationMay assist workers in loading/unloading trailers as neededPerforms other duties as assignedPass Class A UST Operators
