UPK Teacher - (Rochester, NY)

Summary : Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, the Teacher will plan, implement, and assess a language-rich, development appropriate program for 4 year olds which follows the Rochester City School District Universal Pre-k, NYS Standards and the guidelines of Ibero Childhood Services. Required functions: Establishes and maintains good working relationships with Ibero staff, staff from related agencies, the Rochester City School District and parents. Performs initial assessment of children to determine child's progress and update educational programs accordingly using the COR. Communicates with parents periodically to inform them about children's progress. Organizes and maintains area to insure that the environment is pleasant, safe and clean. Prepares environment to enhance children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. Ensures that classroom meets required rating scale criteria.
