Purchasing Specialist - (Cranbury, NJ)

Primary Purpose/Objectives of the Job: This individual will assist in daily Purchasing tasks; interact directly with internal customers (Customer services, Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Accounting). Critical responsibilities/Required functions: Key Support Issues purchase orders and confirms supplier receipt and acceptance Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries to meet business needs Monitoring and follow-up on overdue purchase orders, requisitions and open invoices Provide timely feedback to internal customers on status of requisitions, purchase orders and scheduled deliveries Follow up on payment schedule with Accounting department Establish database for pricing received Establish and maintain database for vendor contact Follow up and track incoming freight cost Help to follow up on sample request Help to follow up on QC pending issue with each party Prepares and processes purchasing documents for return of incorrect goods for credit and/or exact replacement & goods being sent
