Parks Technician II or III - (Herriman, UT)

Below is the description for a Parks Technician II. If the right applicant with additional background applies, we could look at a level III position. GENERAL PURPOSE Performs a variety of semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance, upkeep, repair, construction of parks and buildings, recreation facilities, park grounds, playing fields, trail systems, arena maintenance, and general environment. Provides assistance to city sponsored events as needed. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Works under the direction of the Parks Manager but may receive direction and oversight from a higher level Parks Technician. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS Assists in the installation of sprinkler systems. Installs, tests and maintains systems utilizing low voltage, hydraulic or other operation features and monitors irrigation auditing. Performs seasonal duties such as winterizing sprinkler systems to avoid freezing, flushes watering systems in spring, and repairs other equipment and facilities.
