Telecommunications Specialist - (Yorktown, VA)

Responsible for the analysis of service records and monthly bills and the design of all new service installations for all telecommunication systems of the York County School Division. Additionally, responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all components of the telecommunication systems which include ISDN Centrex, analog Centrex, 3rd-party-provided voice mail, multi-platform data circuits and wireless communications (cell phones). Coordinates all aspects of telephone moves, adds and changes with service providers and cable contractors. Reconciles all monthly bills and maintains a database of installed facilities and services. Work is performed under minimal supervision.Min Requirements:Associate s degree in a relevant technical field and 3-five years background, or any equivalent combination of education and background in the telecommunications field which would provide the acceptable knowledge, abilities and skills, as evidenced in the following performance responsibilities.
