Main responsibilities: Oversite of Sow Farm health in a manner that allows for issuance of health papersField producer and Field Agent phone calls on health matters with on farm visits to diagnose issues as practicalConduct farm visits with Field Agents (2 weeks/year/region) on a specific set of producers targeted for increased efficiency to drive internal growthServe in an advisory capacity to Niman Ranch managementMaintain/revise Niman Ranch vaccine schedulesLearn of and evaluate new products that fit the Niman Ranch protocolPerform vet to vet functions as neededInterface with producers via web based veterinary appPosition would work from home office, but ideally be located in the Des Moines, IA or Ames, IA areaRequirements: Must possess a veterinary degreeMust be able to obtain licensure in the states necessary to perform job functionsMust have some practical swine production background
